Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Centers has provided community-based behavioral health care throughout Los Angeles since 1953—beginning with a single 12-bed facility founded on the belief that everyone deserves access to high-quality care, regardless of their ability to pay. Today, we've grown into a comprehensive network of hospital, residential, outpatient, and community-based programs, most recently expanding our services with an Enhanced Care Management (ECM) program, and the upcoming launch of our Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Program.
We partner with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, the Department of State Hospitals, Los Angeles Unified School District, and community organizations across the region to serve individuals with some of the most complex behavioral health needs. Our mission is to advance innovative, compassionate mental and behavioral health care through inpatient psychiatric services, child and adolescent outpatient care, forensic and community reintegration programs, homeless services, residential treatment, and psychiatric rehabilitation.
