Bellingham Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), which is located in Bellingham, Washington, provides outpatient medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to adults age 18 and older of all genders who are struggling with addictions to heroin, prescription painkillers, and other opioids. MAT at our outpatient opioid addiction treatment center incorporates medication and counseling into a personalized plan that reflects each patient’s unique needs and goals. Adults who enter treatment at Bellingham CTC complete thorough intake assessments, after which a member of our medical staff may recommend either methadone or buprenorphine. These medications can help patients end their opioid use without experiencing the distressing withdrawal symptoms that could quickly push them into relapse. When taken as directed by a qualified professional, methadone and buprenorphine are safe and effective for both short- and long-term use. In addition to receiving either methadone or buprenorphine, patients at Bellingham CTC also participate in individual and group counselling sessions. At our opioid addiction treatment center in Bellingham, Washington, counselling sessions are safe and welcoming forums where patients can process their experiences, learn about opioid addiction and recovery, practice vital relapse-prevention skills, and share support with other adults who are working toward similar goals. All counseling sessions at our center are led by experienced professionals.
