The MRI Technologist is responsible for operating equipment to produce high-quality images for radiologist interpretation while providing direct patient care. This includes navigating EMR/PACS, positioning patients, explaining procedures, and executing proper imaging protocols while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Expected pay for this position is $36.39 - $47.63/hour.

Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

This is an hourly position.

Overview

Position Summary

​The MRI Technologist cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality images for radiologist interpretation. In addition the MRI Technologist is responsible for EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations. Complies with all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • Graduate from accredited school of Radiologic Technology or MRI accredited program.
  • Must be
  • ARRT eligible
  • Licensure/
  • Certification:
  • BLS American Heart Association
  • ARRT (MR) Advanced certification in MRI or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) one year after hire if not currently registered.

  • Skills/
  • Knowledge:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience: - 2 years radiography experience. - 1 year MRI experience. Licensure/ Certification:
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R)) registered. OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
