About the role

The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for the global management of patients with pain conditions, conducting thorough evaluations, and developing individualized treatment plans incorporating various pain relief modalities. Responsibilities also include educating patients and families, scheduling follow-up appointments, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Overview The Nuvance Health Medical Practice, now part of Northwell Health, Division of Pain Management has an excellent opportunity for a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join our comprehensive Neurosciences Department in Carmel, NY. Job Highlights

Global management of patients with pain conditions

Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with pain conditions, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, incorporating pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.

Utilize various modalities for pain relief, including medication management, physical therapy referrals, interventional procedures, and complementary therapies.

Educate patients and families about pain management options, coping strategies, and lifestyle modifications to improve quality of life.

Schedule and conduct follow-up appointments to monitor treatment efficacy and adjust plans as needed.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Pain Management, Family, or Adult).
  • Previous experience in pain management, palliative care, or a related field preferred
  • New graduates will be considered

Salary Range

$105,000-$150,000 commensurate with years of experience. Requirements
