The therapist is responsible for comprehensive assessment of individuals facing mental illness, substance abuse, or behavioral disturbances, assisting with admissions processes, and making appropriate referrals to community resources. They must function as part of a multidisciplinary team, conduct individual and group therapy sessions, and ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation.
A Master's degree in a mental health related field is required, along with CPR and hospital-selected de-escalation technique certification. No prior experience is explicitly required, though previous assessment and evaluation experience is preferred.
