Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans and provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to inpatient rehabilitation patients. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide nutrition counseling to patients and their families.
Requires a Bachelor's degree, RD credential, and an active Florida Dietitian/Nutritionist license. No prior experience is required, though clinical or inpatient experience is preferred.
Develop, implement, and document individualized nutrition care plans based on patient assessments, disease states, and nutritional needs Provide patient and family nutrition counseling, considering cultural, religious, and personal preferences Assess nutritional requirements across the lifespan using evidence‑based medical nutrition therapy Write nutrition‑related orders in accordance with Orlando Health policies Document dietary history, assessments, and care plans in the electronic medical record Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with physicians, nursing, and rehabilitation teams Support continuity of care for short‑ and long‑term rehabilitation patients Adhere to all Orlando Health policies, procedures, and standards of professional practice Maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with Orlando Health guidelines Required Qualifications Education/Training Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. regionally accredited college or university Licensure/Certification Completion of coursework accredited or approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Active Florida Dietitian/Nutritionist license (or eligibility to maintain licensure) Clinical nutrition or inpatient experience preferred but not required Experience No prior experience required Clinical nutrition or inpatient experience preferred but not required Benefits Beyond the Expected Orlando Health is committed to providing you with benefits that go beyond the expected, with career-growing FREE education programs and well-being services to support you and your family through every stage of life.
