The Clinical Nurse Float Pool I provides safe, competent pediatric, family-centered nursing care across general ICU, Medical, Surgical, and at least one specialty area, following the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves collaborating with the care team and family to manage complex patients, update the plan of care, and ensure documentation meets professional and regulatory standards.
Candidates must possess a minimum of two recent years of pediatric inpatient ICU experience (NICU/PICU/CICU) and hold a current Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania or New Jersey, or a temporary practice permit. The position requires a commitment to at least 48 total hours per 6-week schedule period, including 24 hours of weekend work.

The Clinical Nurse Float Pool I is a clinically competent practitioner of pediatric, family-centered nursing. The nurse, at this level, provides safe nursing care to the general unit population ICU, Medical, Surgical, and at least 1 specialty area as defined in Supplemental Staffing Nursing Policy, with minimal guidance and bases practice on identified principles and standards of care. Minimum Total Hours: 48 hours per 6 week schedule period (0.175 FTE) Weekend Requirement: 24 hours per 6 week schedule period Department: Flex Team Holiday Requirement (Winter/Summer): None "High Request" Days: 1 per year Shifts Available: Evenings / Nights / Weekends
