A minimum requirement is an Associate's degree in applied sciences in Histology or Medical Laboratory Technology, or acceptable coursework towards one, along with required NYSED Histotechnician or Medical Laboratory Technician Licensure upon hire. Previous experience as a histology technician is preferred, and knowledge of anatomy, histology, and chemistry is preferred.
