As a member of the multidisciplinary team, you will manage peritoneal dialysis and provide care for complex urology and transplant patients. You will also have the opportunity to train in ultrasound guided IV insertion.
Seasonal part-time Unit Summary STC 3 is a 35-bed monitored hospital unit that cares for a unique population of patients ranging from young adults to geriatrics. Our diverse patient population includes complex urology patients, pulmonary hypertension patients, kidney and pancreas transplant patients, peritoneal dialysis patients, and radioactive implant cases. STC 3 is the only unit in the hospital that performs peritoneal dialysis. STC 3 is the only floor equipped with lead-lined rooms to care for patients receiving radioactive therapies in the inpatient setting.

You'll Do: As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will gain hands-on experience and specialized skills including: · Peritoneal Dialysis management · Epidural · Continuous Bladder Irrigation · Nephrostomy and Urostomy care · Complex urinary catheter insertions and care · Suprapubic catheter insertion and care You'll also have the opportunity to train in ultrasound guided IV insertion, expanding your clinical expertise and contributing to exceptional patient outcomes.

Grad of an Accredited Program Specialized field of study should be nursing. RN license. Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
