About the role

The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for delivering comprehensive rehabilitation services in outpatient clinic and hospital settings. Services address speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders resulting from various medical conditions.

About the Position

The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for delivering comprehensive rehabilitation services in both outpatient clinic and hospital settings. Services are provided in accordance with the Scope of Practice outlined by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and MN Statues and are designed to address speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders resulting from injury, illness, or other medical conditions. This position involves providing care and assistance to patients of all ages, including newborns, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.

What we are looking for

Education and Experience

  • Master's, or Clinical Doctorate from an accredited Speech and Language Pathology program.
  • Speech-Language Pathology license to practice in the State of Minnesota.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (for Speech-Language Pathologists).
  • Clinical fellowship candidates encouraged to apply.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Speech-Language Pathology license to practice in the State of Minnesota.

Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred.

BLS/CPR certification (must be completed within 30 days of hire).

Riverwood Healthcare Center is a 25-bed Critical Access hospital with three full-service clinics in Aitkin, McGregor, and Garrison. Riverwood has recently expanded its footprint in Aitkin with a state-of-the-art surgical center.

Requirements

Candidates must have a Master's or Clinical Doctorate from an accredited Speech and Language Pathology program and a Speech-Language Pathology license to practice in Minnesota. Certification of Clinical Competence from ASHA is preferred, and clinical fellowship candidates will be considered.
