Nurses in this acuity adaptable unit specialize in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, managing complex devices like Intra-aortic balloon pumps and Impella devices. Responsibilities include developing strong assessment skills and managing drip titrations, chest tubes, and ventilators for patients from admission through discharge following open heart surgery.
Candidates must possess a valid North Carolina RN License or a Compact State RN License, along with required ACLS and BCLS certifications. Prior heart experience is preferred for this role in the 18-bed CVT unit.
Valid NC RN License or Compact State RN License BCLS & ACLS required. 2 Years of experience required
