Practice Environment: Location: St. Joseph's Medical Center – Stockton, CA 8-room main OR cath lab, endo 355-bed regional medical center (CommonSpirit Hospital System) The Anesthesiology department is diverse, consisting of 14 physicians, over 30 independent-practice CRNAs, and 24 Residents (8-10 daily on site) providing services for up to 16 anesthetizing locations daily to include acute care ORs, cardiac ORs, obstetrics, GI/endo, cath lab, interventional radiology, a hospital ambulatory surgery center, and a new venture with a local orthopedics surgery center. The annual anesthesia case volume is approx. 14,300 cases, consisting of ~ 9,000 surgical cases, 800 cardiac cases, and 2,000 out-of-OR cases in GI, EP lab/Cath Lab, and interventional radiology. OB services with 3,000 births annually Participation in call is expected (24 hours in-house, 24 hours OB) - Must be within 30 minutes of the facility. CRNAs practice to their full scope of practice and perform regional anesthesia, arterial lines, and central lines 8- or 12-hour shifts and call shifts are available, with scheduling flexibility to match your lifestyle. Post-call day off after first call Collaborative MD/CRNA model Locations: St. Joseph’s Surgery Center: 5-room OR (general, GYN, urology, pain procedures, healthy peds dental and ENT, endo) St. Joseph's Medical Center: 8-room main OR (cath lab, endo) This is a unique practice where CRNAs and MDs work independently in an academic environment with an anesthesiology residency program.
