The role involves 24-hour shifts with daily rounding in conjunction with a neonatologist, ground transports, and delivery attendance. The position requires collaboration with a team to improve community health.
Candidates must be a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with an unrestricted advanced practice provider license in Iowa. They should also hold a registered nursing license in Iowa or a compact state and have the authority to prescribe medications.
24 hour shifts, 73 Shifts per year, rotate with 4 other providers Daily rounding in conjunction with neonatologist Ground transports Delivery attendance No call requirement Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve Specialty skills: intubations, lumbar punctures, PICC and umbilical line placement, chest tube insertion Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
