The HIM Technician is responsible for retrieving, prepping, scanning, and indexing patient records and loose documents. This work is done in accordance with the departmental standards set by OakBend Medical Center.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, with relevant experience considered in lieu of formal education. Previous experience in Medical Records or a physician office is preferred.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School graduate or GED; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in Medical Records or physician office preferred. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: None REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, attention to detail and previous experience on a computer.
