About the role

Position Overview BayCare Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon to join our established team at Winter Haven Hospital, in Winter Haven FL, consisting of two Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgeons and four advanced practice providers. This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a growing community while also playing a key role in program development, including collaboration on the design and development of two new operating rooms and helping to build a high-performing surgical team. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with cardiovascular and thoracic conditions, performing complex procedures, managing pre-operative and post-operative care, and contributing to a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient treatment. Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Board Certification in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. Completion of an accredited residency and fellowship program in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. Valid medical license in Florida or eligibility for licensure. Proven experience in performing complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
