Opportunity Information Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a BE/BC Family Medicine Physician to join our dynamic team in Benicia, CA! This is a half time position, .5 FTE that may be combined with an FTE at Vallejo Family Medicine. It will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons.

Our multi-specialty medical group is comprised of over 1,600 clinicians practicing in seven counties in northern California, most within a 50-mile radius of Sacramento. SMG contains primary care and specialty Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians -- nurse practitioners, physician assistants, certified nurse midwives, licensed clinical social workers and licensed marriage and family therapists, who make up about 20% of our group. Our clinicians not only excel in clinical practice but are also actively engaged in teaching, research, leadership, community outreach, and volunteer work. SMG has earned both local and national recognition for excellence in patient care and experience. Community Information Benicia, California, is a historic city located in Solano County on the north bank of the Carquinez Strait in the San Francisco Bay Area. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 27,131. History Established in 1847, Benicia served as the capital of California from 1853 to 1854. The city boasts a rich history, with several historic buildings and sites that reflect its storied past. Arts and Culture Benicia has a vibrant arts scene, primarily through the efforts of Arts Benicia, a nonprofit organization dedicated to stimulating, educating, and nurturing cultural life in the city through visual arts. Located in the historic Benicia Arsenal at 1 Commandant's Lane, Arts Benicia offers year-round exhibitions, educational programs, and classes for artists and the broader community. Gallery hours are Thursday through Sunday, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM during exhibitions, and admission is free. Community Events The city hosts several annual events that bring the community together: Benicia Peddler's Fair: One of the largest street fairs in Northern California, this outdoor event began in 1963 and traditionally occurs on July 3rd.
