The RN organizes and coordinates nursing care for groups of patients while ensuring compliance with hospital policies. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, monitoring physiological status, and managing personnel training.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Alabama RN license. BLS certification is also required.
Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and coordinates delivery of nursing care to groups of patients in compliance with hospital and departmental policies, protocols and procedures. He/she provides direct patient care by monitoring physiological and behavioral status, evaluating patient progress and the effectiveness of interventions, and by performing treatments and procedures. He/she recognizes, reports and documents clinical observations. The Registered Nurse participates in orientation, training and management of personnel.
