About the role

Provide anesthesia services within a collaborative care team model at South Florida Baptist Hospital. Manage patient care for approximately 25 cases per day, excluding neurology and cardiac procedures.

Position Overview BayCare Medical Group, the largest physician-led medical group in the Tampa Bay region, is seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join our collaborative anesthesia team at South Florida Baptist Hospital in centrally located Plant City, Florida. This opportunity welcomes both experienced CRNAs and new graduates, with BayCare’s “Earn as You Learn” program offering financial support during training. Position Highlights: Team includes Chief CRNA, 5 anesthesiologists, and 11 CRNAs Collaborative care model with strong physician–CRNA partnership OB anesthesia experience or interest highly preferred Manageable case mix averaging ~25 cases/day OB/Gyn, Robotics, Pediatrics, Urology, Thoracic, ENT, Vascular, OMFS, Plastics, General, Ortho Spine No cardiac or neurology cases Spine cases are rare Allows for a predictable, balanced clinical environment Flexible scheduling options: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts Call Schedule: Beeper call only (no in-house overnight requirement) Just 2 overnight call shifts per month: 1 weekday (Mon–Fri): 7 PM – 7 AM 1 weekend (Sat or Sun): 7 PM – 7 AM Designed to support excellent work-life balance Facility Highlights: Practice in a $326 million renovated campus, featuring: 146 private patient rooms Dedicated 20-unit infusion center Modern outpatient imaging services Scenic one-mile walking trail around campus If you're seeking a supportive team, manageable case mix, low call burden, and exceptional work-life balance in a modern facility—this is an outstanding opportunity to grow your CRNA career with BayCare.

Qualifications

Requirements

Must be certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or eligible if in training. Strong interest or background in OB anesthesia is highly preferred.
