The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care and education in an ambulatory setting under the supervision of a medical practitioner. They are responsible for documenting patient information in the EHR and assisting with therapeutic regimens and treatments.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and be a graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program. A valid LPN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia and AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification are required.

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care, ongoing education and reinforcement of care plans, and providing general support in an ambulatory setting under the direction and supervision of the patient’s physician or licensed medical practitioner or designee in accordance with policy and procedure and competency to promote patient health and wellness.
This position requires providing services to all age populations in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individuals served.
The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.
High School Diploma required. Graduate of accredited Practical Nursing Program required. Completion of a nursing program as approved by the State Board of Nursing.
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience Preferred.
Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia prior to onboarding.
AHA Healthcare Provider BLS required. Ability to successfully complete general and department role based specific skills validation and competency testing.
