The Medical Assistant participates in data collection, planning, and implementation of patient care, performing clinical procedures within their scope of practice. They communicate changes in patient conditions and ensure patient comfort and satisfaction with services.
A high school diploma or GED is required, with a preference for graduates of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Experience with medical terminology and prior work in a medical office is also necessary.
