About the role

The Speech Language Pathologist will provide therapy to help patients recover their speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities. They will also document patient care and communicate progress to supervisors and team members.

Formerly known as Towanda Memorial Hospital, this facility is a satellite campus of Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, located 17 miles north in Sayre, Pa. The Towanda campus joined Guthrie in April 2015, serving Bradford and Sullivan counties, offering ease of access to clinical services to those in the surrounding communities. Long-term care services are also provided for patients with a 68-bed skilled nursing unit and a 94-bed personal care home. Why Choose Us: Health (Medical, Dental, Vision) and 401K Benefits for full-time employees Competitive Paid Time Off / Extended Illness Bank package for full-time employees Employee Assistance Program - mental, physical, and financial wellness assistance Student Loan Repayment and Tuition Assistance for qualified applicants Professional development opportunities, cross-training and CE dollars And much more How you'll contribute A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) who excels in this role: Play an important part in helping our patient to recover and feel better about themselves by providing therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws Other duties as assigned What we're looking for Applicants should be a graduate of a master's level program in Speech Language Pathology which is accredited by Education Standards Board or whose practice meets ASHA certification requirements. Requirements

Applicants must have a master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and meet ASHA certification requirements. A minimum of six months of experience with adult and geriatric populations and a current state license are also required.
