Assist surgeons in all aspects of the operating room procedures. Work under the supervision of a surgeon and RN to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the OR environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Performs all other duties as assigned.
High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Completion of a surgical tech training program preferred and completion of a minimum of six weeks of clinical OR rotation preferred.
Completion of a formal surgical technician training program preferred and current BLS required. Surgical Tech certification preferred.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with completion of a surgical tech training program and a minimum of six weeks of clinical OR rotation, which are also preferred. Current BLS certification is required.
