The Registered Nurse will manage, assess, and track total patient care according to protocols, maintaining accurate records of treatment plans, medications, and vital signs. Duties also include evaluating patient responses to treatment, collaborating with physicians on care plans, and performing routine procedures.
Candidates must possess a valid nursing license and demonstrate excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures, along with a dedication to a professional work culture. Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds frequently.
Manage, assess and track the total care for each patient in accordance with protocols, policies and procedure guidelines. Maintain an accurate record of the patient’s history and treatment plan, including diagnostic tests and procedures, medications prescribed, vital signs, daily weights and fluid intake/output. Evaluate patients’ responses to treatment plans by monitoring vital signs and changes in the patient’s condition. Prepare a variety of charts, reports, logs and records to monitor treatment results. Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians. Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients. Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients’ charts. Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders. Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.) Provide instant medical care in emergencies. Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Continuous bending, squatting, twisting and reaching. Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility which includes an annual TB screening and physical examination. Must be able to stand for and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Requires infrequent lifting of weight up to 100+ pounds with assistance. Frequent pushing and pulling of carts and transporting residents. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Environmental conditions: Inside work, normal temperatures, some noise, occasional fumes/odors, chemical exposure and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
