· Under the general supervision of a physician, and using established and approved protocols. · Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to LTAC patients · Coordinate care with consulting specialists and interdisciplinary teams · Perform admissions, daily rounds, and discharges as needed · Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EMR

Education/Licensure/Certifications: · Graduate of Accredited School offering an Advanced Degree in Nurse Practice (ARNP) and current, unrestricted California NP license OR · Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program and current California State Physician Assistant License, issued by Physician Assistant Board under the Medical Board of California · Current DEA certificate without restriction · ACLS required
· Two years related NP/PA experience preferred. · Ability to prioritize and establish work standards and business goals. · Ability to relate to patients, their families, and members of the healthcare team in a tactful and professional manner · Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques · Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment · Effective verbal and written communication skills along with proper telephone etiquette · Ability to provide medical services within the scope of licensing and training
