The primary responsibility involves providing advanced primary and/or specialty care to patients, which includes performing physical exams, recording histories, and creating patient care plans. Duties also encompass ordering and analyzing diagnostic tests, administering treatments, and monitoring patient responses.
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree from an accredited physician assistant program and hold active PA-C licensure and prescriptive authorization in the state of employment. Required knowledge includes computer-based data management, medical records technology, and sound understanding of federal and state regulations like HIPAA and OSHA.
Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner: Master’s degree from an accredited physician assistant program Must have PA-C licensure in the state where employed or a compact party state and be board certified by corresponding entity Must have prescriptive authorization PA authorization in the state where employed to practice in Family Health by corresponding entity Must be proficient with medical instruments and equipment required by the work Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-interview technology Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, with retail and medical partners at various levels, patients, family members, physicians and representatives of the community Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA Experience providing primary care as a family physician assistant-certified practitioner knowledge of disease prevention TRAVEL REQUIRED: 20%
