The optometrist will conduct comprehensive eye exams, striving to practice to the full capacity of their license while establishing long-term patient relationships through proper care and education. Key duties include diagnosing sight problems, prescribing corrective lenses and medications, and providing pre- and post-operative care for eye surgeries.
Candidates must possess a Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution and must have successfully passed all state optometric board examinations. The role requires the ability to perform detailed patient interviews, provide treatment recommendations, and effectively communicate findings to support staff and opticians.
