Staff Nurses apply nursing theory to assess, diagnose, treat, and evaluate patient responses to health and illness, while collaboratively coordinating the continuum of care across settings. Duties include developing patient care plans, implementing prescribed interventions, documenting responses, and coordinating transfer/discharge planning.
Required education includes an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, BSN, MNHP, MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader, or Master’s Degree in Nursing, along with a current Iowa nursing license by the date of hire. Candidates must demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and general computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel.
