The MRI Technologist performs MRI studies according to established protocols set by Radiologists, operating the scanner to ensure consistent, optimal image quality. This includes preparing the scan room and equipment, positioning the patient and coils, and maintaining communication with the patient during the procedure.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or Equivalent and have experience as a Radiology Technologist and MRI Technologist, with American Registry of Radiologists (ARRT) MR certification required within two years of hire. Education must include a Non-Degree Program from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology or MRI certificate program.
