The Registered Nurse utilizes clinical judgment to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems, being responsible for assessing, planning, directing, providing, and evaluating nursing care for patients. Previous health care experience. Bachelors degree in nursing or related field. Recent experience in acute care or skilled nursing, utilizing the nursing process, effective problem solving and communication skills. Previous telemetry experience. Experience with insulin drips. Medical-Surgical Certification. Demonstrates clinical competence in the care of stroke and neuro patients.
Candidates must have a minimum of nine months of RN experience or successful completion of the Kaiser Permanente NW RN New Grad Internship program, and be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. Required credentials include an Oregon Registered Nurse License, NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within three months of hire, and Basic Life Support certification.
