The Residential Counselor provides direct support to individuals with psychiatric conditions in a residential setting, focusing on fostering independence and improving quality of life. Duties include administering medication according to the Medication Administration Plan (MAP) and assisting residents with daily living activities like chores and cooking.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with an Associate's degree in human services preferred, and must be at least 21 years old with a valid US driver's license for six months. Applicants must pass background checks and obtain CPR, First Aid, and MAP certifications shortly after hiring.
Schedule: Sun-Mon, Fri-Sat, 2pm-10pm
$22.00 / hour
Sign On Bonus: $3000; $1000 upon completion of 30 days, $1000 upon completion of 6 months, $1000 upon completion of 12 months
As an ACCS Residential Counselor, you will provide direct support to people with psychiatric conditions in a residential Group Living Environment designed to foster independence. In your role you will work together with the people we serve, their families, friends, employers, and other support staff to transform their lives by either building independence skills or increasing each person's quality of life.
In this role you will have a range of duties include administrating medication under the Medication Administration Plan (MAP) and assisting people with activities of daily living, such as household chores and cooking. You will also work alongside the Clinical Program Director to implement treatment plans which are recovery-oriented, person-centered, harm-reduction, trauma-informed, culturally competent and strengths-based approaches.
