The primary role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing various metabolic and growth disorders in children. This includes specific conditions such as type one diabetes, hypoglycemia, and disorders related to the adrenal, thyroid, and pituitary glands.
Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of related experience and hold current Board Certification or Eligibility in Pediatric Endocrinology, along with a Texas medical license. Completion of an MD degree, medical residency, and an accredited Pediatric Endocrinology fellowship are mandatory educational requirements.
Effective assessment, evaluation and resolution skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to remain flexible and positive in stressful situations. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions. Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
