The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs patient assessments and procedures related to diagnosing and treating cardiopulmonary disorders, including administering medications and evaluating patient responses to therapies. Responsibilities also involve documenting therapy performance, maintaining order entry systems, assisting with quality improvement projects, and training new staff.
Candidates must graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy associate's degree program or equivalent and complete Level I and II therapist competency requirements. A minimum of six months of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist, Michigan Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure, RRT credentialing, and BCLS certification are mandatory.
Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have completed Level I and II therapist competency requirements. Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure by the State of Michigan. Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
