The Float Ambulatory RN assists patients and families through their episode of care by emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, while delegating, overseeing, and providing quality, safe, and developmentally appropriate patient care. Essential functions include assessing individualized patient needs, planning and implementing care using Evidence-Based Practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with providers for smooth clinic flow.
Candidates must have graduated from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school and be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. Three years of pediatric clinical experience is preferred for this role.
Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8a-5p; one site with later hours (9a-7p) one day per week.
Summary: Emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention as they assist patients and families to move rapidly, uneventfully, safely, and as effectively as possible through their episode of care. Delegates, oversees and provides quality, safe and developmentally appropriate patient care.
Essential Functions: Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach. Assesses individualized patient needs and plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices. Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy compliance. Works closely with providers and other team members to ensure a smooth clinic flow addressing patient/parent concerns and attaining positive patient and family outcomes. Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures. Engages in the “workplace community” by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff. Education Requirement: Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school, required. Licensure Requirement: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio, required.
