Cytotechnologist-Pathology

• The full-time Cytotechnologist will support the day-to-day operations of the Cytopathology Laboratory within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
• The incumbent will: Prepares and microscopically examines slides of human cell samplings for the presence of disease or other abnormality.
• Receive, accession, and process GYN and Non-GYN specimens, blocks, and slides.
• Assist FNA and biopsy procedures and perform quick adequacy assessment.
• Monitor incoming phone inquiries and requests.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols.
• Maintain and organizes laboratory supplies.
• Monitor inventory levels and prepare simple reagents as needed.
• The Keck School of Medicine Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is one of the largest pathology departments in the United States.

• Hourly range: The hourly rate range for this position is $56.23 - $66.84.
