The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for maintaining maximum quality control in the supply, reprocessing, and sterilization of instruments and supplies for the Operating Room and patient care areas. This role ensures that the Operating Room and other hospital departments receive necessary sterile supplies throughout the facility.
Candidates must be a graduate of an approved Sterile Processing program and possess good written and oral English communication skills. Required abilities include prioritization and the capacity to perform effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment while standing for long periods.

Responsible for maintaining a maximum level of quality control in the supply, reprocessing and sterilization of instruments and supplies used in the Operating Room and patient care areas. Provides the Operating Room and other hospital departments with supplies requested and performs duties necessary for the provision of sterile supplies throughout the facility. Required to be on call nights and weekends. Special Considerations/Age Specifications: Age legend not applicable. This position has no responsibility for the assessment, treatment of care of patients. However, the ability to communicate and interact with patients of all ages is required.

Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other hospital personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner. Answers telephones in a prompt and courteous manner. Displays concern and provides assistance or explains procedures as appropriate to callers or in face-to-face situations. Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Works with customers to identify problem areas and recommend solutions.
