The Clinical Dietitian will assess patient nutrition status, implement the nutrition care process according to regulatory standards, and monitor/evaluate nutrition interventions, making necessary adjustments. Responsibilities also include performing nutrition-focused physical exams, providing age-specific and culturally sensitive care, and educating patients and staff on therapeutic diets.
A Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or Family & Consumer Science with ACEND requirements completed is required, though a Master's Degree is preferred. Candidates must be a Registered Dietitian and licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, with less than one year of previous job-related experience required, though licensure can be obtained within six months of hire.
