The optometrist will conduct eye exams, establish long-term patient relationships through proper care and education, and advise patients on options for ametropias, systemic and ocular diseases, and visual needs. Responsibilities also include performing vision tests, diagnosing sight problems, prescribing corrective measures, and providing pre- and postoperative care.
Candidates must possess a Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution and must have passed all state optometric boards. The role requires the ability to practice to the full capacity of the license and support practice growth.
