The Cat Scan (CT) Technician provides computed tomography imaging, reviews patient orders, educates patients on procedures, and prepares and administers contrast media as ordered. They are responsible for monitoring patients, preparing equipment, performing imaging procedures, analyzing results, and reporting scan outcomes.
Applicants must possess a current associate's degree in radiology, along with a two-year certificate, associate’s degree, or baccalaureate degree. Required credentials include a current Radiation Operator Certificate in the state of practice, registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiology and Computed Tomography, and current BLS certification.
