The Registered Nurse utilizes clinical judgment to diagnose and treat human responses to health problems, being responsible for assessing, planning, directing, providing, and evaluating nursing care for patients. Previous health care experience. Bachelors degree in nursing or related field. CEN preferred. TNCC preferred. Demonstrated ability to recognize and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias preferred. A desire and ability to function within the nursing process preferred. A desire and ability to function within professional and personnel standards as defined. Ability to use and apply effective communication and interpersonal relationship skills preferred.
Candidates must have a minimum of nine months of RN experience, with one year of current Emergency Department experience or successful completion of the Kaiser Permanente New Grad Internship Program in the ED. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and either PALs or ENPC within six months of hire, along with an Oregon RN License and NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within three months.
