The primary duty is to deliver ionizing radiation to the patient strictly according to the radiation therapy plan and the instructions provided by the Radiation Oncologist. This work is performed under the general supervision of the Chief Therapist.
Required qualifications include an Associate's Degree from an accredited Radiation Therapy school and holding or being eligible for the Mississippi State Radiation Therapy license and American Registry of Radiological Technologists registration as a Radiation Therapist. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree and one year of prior experience in a Radiation Oncology Department.
To deliver ionizing radiation to the patient that is compliant with the radiation therapy plan and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist while under the general supervision of the Chief Therapist.
