The Dental Hygienist is responsible for providing comprehensive oral hygiene care, performing preventive and therapeutic clinical procedures, supporting dentists in patient management, and ensuring patient comfort and safety across various Eskenazi Health Center sites. Key functions include patient assessment, clinical service delivery, patient education, documentation, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
Candidates must possess an Associate degree in Dental Hygiene or equivalent from a CODA-accredited program, along with an active Dental Hygienist license in Indiana, requiring successful completion of the National Board Exam. Continuous professional development mandates 14 hours of continuing education every two years, and maintaining Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.

The Dental Hygienist travels and fills in at other Eskenazi Health Center (EHC) Dental sites as needed. This role integrates patient care with other healthcare providers and supports the overall mission of Eskenazi Health.
