Candidates must possess current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the appropriate state or current registration/certification as a Medical Assistant, with a requirement to become certified within one year if not already certified. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is also required, or the ability to obtain it within three months, unless part of Department 46680.
