This role involves performing routine or complex histologic procedures to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment, while serving as a technical resource for less experienced staff and potentially supervising departmental sections. Responsibilities include specimen preparation, embedding, sectioning, staining, maintaining equipment, and participating in quality control activities.
A minimum requirement is a High School diploma, though a Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with five years of relevant experience, preferably including supervisor or lead experience. Certification as HTL (ASCP) or HT(ASCP) is mandatory for this position.

We're seeking a certified Histotechnologist III to support Renal Pathology who will contribute to Emory Healthcare’s mission of clinical care, education, and research by demonstrating the core values of excellence, caring, and integrity.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium): 20-50 lbs; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 50 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
