- Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center® is a 336-bed facility that is part of the six-hospital The Valley Health System in the Las Vegas area. We provide a wide range of medical services and procedures, including comprehensive women's services for the Northwest Las Vegas area. In addition to providing digital mammography, gynecologic care and gynecologic surgery, the Women’s Center pays special attention to new moms. During their stay, moms enjoy special menus, massages and afternoon teas. The Women's Center maternity services include labor, delivery and recovery rooms, antepartum and postpartum care, a newborn nursery and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. Job Description
Responsible for the delivery of respiratory therapy modalities and respiratory assessments to patients of all ages in all patient care areas, including critical care, NICU or Labor & Delivery. Performs responsibilities independently and without supervision except as necessary during orientation or training.
Qualifications
Education
Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapy Program. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience
- At least 3 years Adult critical care experience/Level Ill neonatal experience.
- Technical
- Skills: Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department and provide the care/service as described in the department policies and procedures.
- License/Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), and must possess either the Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential and/or the Advanced Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) credential from the NBRC. State of Nevada Practitioner of Respiratory Care License, General Supervisor Blood Gas License*, Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by American Heart Association, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified by the American Heart Association, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certified from American
