The Hospitalist Advanced Practitioner will admit patients to the hospital and round on them in collaboration with their assigned physician. They will evaluate, interpret, and coordinate information to make decisions regarding patient care.
Candidates must be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with inpatient and acute care experience. They should hold an unrestricted medical license in Iowa and Illinois and have the authority to prescribe medications.
Average of 10-12 patients per day Admitting patients to the hospital and rounding on patients with the collaboration of their assigned physician Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills
