The clinical teams at the area’s clinics are improving outcomes, lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions.

The UnityPoint Clinic team is known for excellence and quality patient care putting patients at the center of their care to provide the best level of health and well-being.

Established team of 24 Physicians and 6 Advanced Practitioners Hospitalist schedule is 5on/5off with 12-hour shifts, 7a-7p; with flexibility in scheduling No Night Work & No Call Opportunity to practice inpatient medicine in an established and well-known clinic Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical who know the patients and the community Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities

Average of 10-12 patients per day Admitting patients to the hospital and rounding on patients with the collaboration of their assigned physician Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate Board Certified Inpatient and acute care experience required Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa and Illinois Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice Eligible to work in the United States We Offer Competitive compensation package Attractive incentive package A competitive Total Rewards program offers benefits that align with your needs and priorities, no matter what stage of life you are in. Requirements

Candidates must be a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate with required experience in inpatient and acute care. Unrestricted medical licenses in Iowa and Illinois, as well as federal authority to prescribe medications, are mandatory.
