CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESMay include any and/or all of the following: CLINICAL DUTIES Ensure the availability of adequate anesthesia staffing to provide clinical, medical, and administrative leadership support throughout the organization. Administer anesthetic or sedation during medical procedures. Inform students and staff of types and methods of anesthesia administration, signs of complications, and emergency methods to counteract reactions. Provide medical care and consultation in many settings, prescribing medication and treatment. Provides clinical support and patient care to assist the anesthesia team as applicable. Maintain current policies and procedures set forth by LifeLinc and propose new and efficient policies when applicable. Perform clinical reviews and audits on all clinical services provided by other practitioners employed by LifeLinc as applicable. Responsible for training and oversight of all clinical staff and personnel as applicable. LANGUAGE SKILLS Must be able to read and write English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, patients, patient's family and other employees of organization. Able to work in a team-oriented environment. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Education and experience equivalent to: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of medicine in anesthesia with a current license in good standing to practice in the state in which you are located. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS ACLS/BLS/PALS Certification Comfortable practicing in a care team model
