About the role

The Physical Therapist will conduct initial patient evaluations, reassessments, and discharge summaries, administering treatments based on these findings while maintaining prompt documentation and departmental productivity standards. Responsibilities also include delegating tasks, participating in case management, supporting daily operations, and engaging in teaching, training, and mentoring activities.

Upper Valley Medical Center Physical Therapist (PRN) Inpatient Rehab PRN (hours vary) - 1 weekend Day, per Month Join Premier Health’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (IFC) across the region, where we provide comprehensive care for patients with complex rehabilitative needs.

As a Physical Therapist under the general supervision of the Manager of Inpatient Rehab, you will be responsible for: Conducting initial patient evaluations, reassessments, and discharge summaries for diverse populations.

Administering treatments based on evaluations and reassessments.

Completing documentation promptly and maintaining departmental productivity standards.

Delegating tasks appropriately to team members.

Participating in the case management of rehabilitation services.

Performing non-clinical tasks to support smooth daily operations.

Engaging in one to two departmental, hospital, or community programs/meetings.

Teaching, orienting, training, supervising, and mentoring co-workers, new employees, volunteers, and a minimum of one student annually.

Qualifications

Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program required. Current Physical Therapist license for the state of Ohio required. BLS certification required within 30-days of hire Effective communication skills with the ability to problem-solve, plan, and prioritize. Flexibility and adaptability in various situations. Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making while maintaining confidentiality. Demonstrates a positive and constructive attitude, initiative, dependability, cooperation, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Requirements

Candidates must possess a Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program and hold a current Physical Therapist license for the state of Ohio, with BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
