General Summary/Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, and according to standard procedures, dispenses medications and pharmaceutical care upon receiving physician orders; performs all duties necessary to provide for the effective daily operation of all departmental services and programs; supervises support personnel in all work areas assigned; participates in training pharmacy students, technicians, and other allied professionals. Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and according to standard procedures, oversees/performs total prescription filling process: data entry, inventory management, patient counseling, counting, labeling, filing and billing of prescribed products. Coordinates delivery, as necessary. Coordinates care (with a multi-disciplinary team) directly with patients and caregivers. Works with other team members and outside entities (insurance companies, PBMs, manufacturers) to obtain/verify patient financial responsibilities

Qualifications: Education Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor's degree

Knowledge/Skills  Posses good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills and problem solving skills.  Able to read and write printed material in English.  Posses ability to work well with other health care workers and perform as a team member.  Must be customer-service minded.
