The Pharmacist dispenses medications and provides pharmaceutical care under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, overseeing the total prescription filling process including data entry, inventory, counseling, and billing. This role also involves coordinating care with a multi-disciplinary team, patients, caregivers, insurance companies, and manufacturers.
Candidates must possess a Doctorate or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and be licensed by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, requiring 1 to 3 years of relevant job experience. Essential skills include strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-service mindset for effective teamwork.
Pharmacist - Specialty
Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, and according to standard procedures, dispenses medications and pharmaceutical care upon receiving physician orders; performs all duties necessary to provide for the effective daily operation of all departmental services and programs; supervises support personnel in all work areas assigned; participates in training pharmacy students, technicians, and other allied professionals. Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and according to standard procedures, oversees/performs total prescription filling process: data entry, inventory management, patient counseling, counting, labeling, filing and billing of prescribed products. Coordinates delivery, as necessary. Coordinates care (with a multi-disciplinary team) directly with patients and caregivers. Works with other team members and outside entities (insurance companies, PBMs, manufacturers) to obtain/verify patient financial responsibilities
Qualifications: Education Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor's degree
Knowledge/Skills Posses good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills and problem solving skills. Able to read and write printed material in English. Posses ability to work well with other health care workers and perform as a team member. Must be customer-service minded.
