About the role

The physician will join a busy Obstetrics & Gynecology practice offering both full-time and part-time schedules with flexible hours and no call, nights, weekends, or holidays required. Responsibilities include patient care in a setting that supports approximately 500-600 births annually and teaching opportunities for Family Medicine and Medical Residents.

  • Busy practice with instant volume
  • Both full-time and part-time available- very flexible scheduling! Great work-life balance!
  • Join the team of 1 full-time OBGYN, 1 FT, 1 PT, and 3 PRN OB Hospitalists and 4 ARNP's
  • NO CALL! No nights/no wknds/no holidays!
  • ~500-600 births/year
  • Teaching opportunity- FM Residents (in L&D 24/7) & Medical Residents
  • Newly remodeled clinic located on our main campus- close proximity to Labor & Delivery, Lab, Pharmacy and Radiology with access to Perinatology consultation.
  • Da Vinci XI with designated OR block time
  • Level II NICU staffed 24/7 by Pediatric Hospitalists and NICU Nurses with access to an on-site blood bank.
  • In-house specialists available for consultation/collaboration in patient care, i.e., Cardiology, Orthopedics, Reconstructive Surgery, Anesthesiology, etc.

Qualifications

Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required. Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program; board certified or board eligible. Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges. Above average communication skills. Ability to work with a team. Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license; Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
