Position Overview: Wellstar Health Systems is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic team at our new Columbia County hospital.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping a cutting-edge trauma service within a modern facility equipped with the latest technology.

Key Responsibilities: Provide expert orthopedic trauma care, including surgical interventions and post-operative management.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including emergency medicine, critical care, and rehabilitation specialists.

Participate in trauma call coverage and support the hospital’s commitment to excellent trauma services.

Engage in continuous quality improvement and clinical research initiatives as applicable.

Mentor and train residents and medical students (if affiliated).

Qualifications

MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery residency. Fellowship training in orthopedic trauma preferred. Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery. Eligible for medical licensure in Georgia. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting. Commitment to patient-centered care and community health. Why Join Wellstar? Requirements

Candidates must possess an MD or DO degree along with completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery residency, and must be eligible for medical licensure in Georgia. Fellowship training in orthopedic trauma is preferred, and a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team is essential.
